Dr. Christopher J. Root graduated as Valedictorian of Ludlow High School in 1996 and earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2000. He finished dental school at the University of Connecticut in 2004, where he earned the highest scores in his class for the basic medical science curriculum. He then completed a one-year advanced education in general dentistry residency in Connecticut as well.
Several years ago, he received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a continuing education award of which only less than 5% of general dentists receive. It requires 500+ hours of continuing education equally divided among all disciplines of dentistry and a 400-question board exam. Dr. Christopher is recognized as a leader and a role model by other general dentists, and is also considered to be a young man to receive such recognition.
Dr. Christopher has been happily married to his wife Beata for 13 years. They have a 10 year old son, Peter, who is their pride and joy. On most weekends you can find Dr Christopher enjoying outdoor adventures including biking, hiking, and fly-fishing with his family. Dr Christopher likes to stay involved in the Dartmouth community by performing admissions interviews for prospective local high school students.
