An alternative to traditional bracket and braces, Invisalign uses a series of hard clear trays over the treatment course to correct the malposition of teeth without the unaesthetics and discomfort associated with traditional braces and brackets as well as allowing the ease of maintaining oral hygiene during the treatment process.   

These clear trays of Invisalign are BPA-free plastic custom-made for your teeth.  They will apply pressure to the teeth in just the right way according the computerized design sequence.  Whether your teeth need to be rotated, moved vertically or shifted horizontally, Invisalign can treat a wide range of mild to moderate orthodontic conditions such as straightening teeth, closing gaps, correcting crowding and certain types of overbite and underbite. Most patients switch to a new set of tray on a  biweekly basis, gradually your teeth move toward the new and aligned position.  

The length of Invisalign treatment will vary depending on your individualized circumstances. Your dentist will be able to give you an estimate of treatment time.  The average length of the treatment is between six and twelve months, but a number of variables can affect the length of time, including how much the position of your teeth need to be changed and how well you comply with the instructions, eg. when you need to change into a new tray, for how long you wear them and when you need to come to see the dentist for in-office visits etc.
